Shane Kidby is starting an epic trek, planning to circumnavigate the coastline of Aotearoa by foot. Shane is using this challenge to raise both awareness and funds for CFNZ and Taranaki Retreat. 

The launch of Shane's walk will take place on Saturday 26 June from 10am at Shining Peak Brewing, New Plymouth.

Shane Kidby is driven by his passion to help others, and by doing so, helping himself. Cystic fibrosis and mental health are close to his heart. He lost his younger brother to cystic fibrosis as a child. Shane is all too familiar with the mental health battles experienced as a consequence of ‘life’. This adventure is part of his grander plan to live his life with purpose and help others find theirs.

"I want to give CF siblings and those with mental health the courage to fly – I want them to know that we see them, acknowledge what they go through and that they are amazing," says Shane.

CFNZ Taranaki are also extremely grateful that Shane is helping raise awareness for CFNZ and are honoured to be supporting him with his send off on Saturday 26th June.
