Today, I am pleased to share some news that marks another milestone in the journey of Cystic Fibrosis NZ. It is with pleasure to advise the CFNZ Board have appointed Dame Pieter Stewart, DNZM, as the new Board Chairperson of our organisation.
Pieter joined the CFNZ Board in October last year, she brought with her a wealth of knowledge and governance experience within the not-for-profit and commercial sectors, including the fields of health, education, and creative industries.
As well as being the Founder and Managing Director of New Zealand Fashion Week, Pieter has been an active contributor for the Plunket Society, Child Cancer Foundation, and Going for Goals Canterbury.
Pieter is looking forward to communicating and meeting with the wider Branch membership at the earliest opportunity as part of her new role as Board Chair.
Dame Pieter’s appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter in our journey to improve the lives of those affected by cystic fibrosis and rare disorders in New Zealand.
Please join me in extending a very warm welcome, and appreciation, to Pieter as she undertakes this very important position on behalf of Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand.
With kind regards,
Denis Currie QSO
President CFNZ
